Early signed Tuthill. Recently appraised, rare, stunning museum quality bowl. Charles Tuthill studied glass cutting around 1894, and began his company in 1895. Wheel cut glass quickly fell out of favor as American Brilliant cut became the rage. Tuthill's early work shows a combination of wheel cut, and American Brilliant cut, as does this bowl. This was made circa 1895-1910. Acid etched on bottom. This is a documented Primrose pattern from Tuthill. This bowl is made from a 50% lead crystal blank. You WILL NOT be disappointed! The glass is stunning, clear, and very heavy. 8" x 4". I have owned for many years. Also have 2 signed Hawkes available and lead crystal pieces such as vases and barware, but need space and selling off as much as I can. Tuthill $200 obo. You WILL NOT find another and this bowl will be one that catches everyone's attention. This is a once-in-a-lifetime find! Located in Freeport. I am not a dealer, private person who has collected fine crystal for many years. A
