Note: The reds in the pics of the bass came out funky but looks normal in person.
This started out as a Dean John Entwistle Signature (import) bass but I decided to do a bunch of mods to it. Problem was that I retired from playing live shortly after I started working on it, and I'm getting divorced, downsizing and just won't have the time or ability to finish it. Once someone finishes it, it'll be a killer, distinctive bass.
Body was stripped, shaped to be a bit more accurate. Painted, but still needs a final wet sanding and buff. Replaced the thin 22 fret maple neck (not a fan of real narrow necks, I prefer a more P-Bass width) with a custom made 22 fret rosewood board one. "F" decal for kicks. Changed out hardware to chrome and added a chrome pickup ring for bridge pickup. Guts were pulled out (and saved), it originally had 3 way active EQ, Vol and rotary pickup selector. Made a harness that took out the active EQ and has Vol for each pickup (the two chrome dome knobs) and the three mini knurled knobs are Master Vol, Tone for each pickup. Needs a nut.
You can see what they originally looked like, mine after I changed necks and also what one of John's looked like (also red).
Not interested in any trades obviously. Cash only and if you see this ad it's still for sale. A little work and this will be great bass. And the only one you'll see like it.
