We are actively seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our property Skyrise Apartments at 837 N Main St, Rockford, IL
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for helping the Property Manager maintain all aspects of the properties operations, planning, attaining goals. As well as Social Service Coordinator functions.
Develops rental agreements, selects qualified tenants, collects deposits and rents, enforces terms of rental
agreements, resolves tenant complaints, oversee eviction proceedings if necessary.
Be active in the initiation and management of all core business processes including leasing, client relations,
maintenance management, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, and vendor relations.
Keeps open dialogue with senior executives on vacancies, tenants, physical condition of property, financial
Schedules maintenance and repairs with maintenance staff, regularly inspects property to ensure it is in good
working order, and quickly resolves emergency maintenance issues.
At least 3+ years of property management or social service experience (Section 8, HUD, HAP experience is a big plus)
General understanding of basic real estate principles
Basic understanding of trades such as plumbing, carpentry, construction, and general property maintenance.
High level of organization and attention to detail
Basic Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, general email/internet procedures (basic skills assessment
will be required in these fields during the hiring process)
Must have excellent customer service orientation and a positive attitude
Valid driver license and functional vehicle
